Help our friend Patti save her home!

Hello everyone. Thank you for taking the time to visit this campaign.

My name is Jeremy Hawthorne. I'm a friend, as I hope you are too, of Patti Arthur. Patti is going through a real rough time right now. As of 4/14/14, she's currently separated from her husband. I won't be going into details about everything between them, as that is not the point of this page. What it was created for, was to help out a dear friend.

Because of circumstances prior to her separation, her house has entered foreclosure. The real kicker, and what makes matters worse, is that she was unaware of what was going on that lead her home to be put in foreclosure. The information was kept from her for months and she was only made aware because she accidentally stumbled upon one of many letters from her mortgage lender that had been kept from her all this time. She was under the impression that payments were being made like normal, and she had never missed a payment prior. In reality, the money was not going toward the mortgage at all. And now she may lose her home, which was built by her grandfather. She was and still is, understandably, in complete shock. We can't let this happen!

Patti needs our help. She had never missed a payment before this situation occurred and the circumstances that have lead to this were truly out of her control. She has many furry family members that rely on her and live there as well. In order to get Patti back to where she needs to be, I've set up this page. Let's help Patti out, please!

She is approximately $5,000 behind on the mortgage as no payment had been made since last July 2013 and she did not find out information about the foreclosure until April. It will cost her about $2,000 to retain a lawyer who can stop the foreclosure process and get everything straightened out. I've set the goal at what is owed on the mortage, but ideally I hope she recieves enough donations to pay for the lawyer to stop the foreclosure process.

Now, those of you who know Patti, know that she would never ask for help like this. It's just not in her nature and sh'e not that type of person. The type of person she is, is one who loves her furry family, loves to sing karaoke and is a fun, caring person that needs our help! This is why I taking it upon myself to try and organize this campaign and try and get her life back on track. She's a good person and doesn't deserve what's happened.

To get this campaign off the ground, I'm going to start the donation process by putting $500 towards the cause. Let's help our dear friend Patti Arthur. She has a tough road ahead of her either way, and this is a very emotional and stressful time for her. Let's band together and show her that there are people out there that love and care about her. Even if you don't know Patti, we welcome your donation. This is a pure act of love for a fellow friend, and human being that's had some horrible things happen to her. If you'd like to help out in other ways, that would be great. For example, if you know a lawyer in the Central Illinois area that doesn't reduced rate or pro bono work regarding foreclosures, that would be immensely helpful. The bottom line is that we need to get Patti's home squared away and the foreclosure removed. I appreciate your time and I know Patti does as well.
