Fundraiser for Victor Quach

This fundraiser is to contribute to the memorialization of Victor Quach. Victor Quach's life was tragically taken this past Winter in a car accident on February 18, 2014.

Victor reveled in gathering people for any reason because he enjoyed the company of his loved ones. He loved being outdoors, playing sports, and grilling for BBQ's among many other things. It is with great thought that we've decided to commemorate him through donating to the Philadelphia Parks and Recreation and receiving a park bench, picnic table, and plaques (one for each the bench and picnic table) at Burholme Park located in Phialdelphia, PA.

In addition, we will be purchasing our own cherry blossom tree to plant next to the park bench once it is anchored into the ground. Updates will be provided so that all can be a part of this event as the planting of a tree can be symbolic in many ways.

Trees represent life and like life they are ever changing. New seasons bring new challenges and with each challenge comes the scars from storms and the ravages of time. But trees remain firmly grounded and survive for the next season. Trees continue to grow tall and strong and when large enough cast shadows. These shadows shade the living beneath it and provide protection from elements like rain or too much sun. These trees are symbolic in that they represent those like Victor who has given so much through his life and did not ask for anything in return. It is because of Victor that we are lucky enough to say that we have known such a genuinely whole hearted man and that our memories of him will forever cast shadows, leave imprints and mark our hearts.
