Breast Cancer Survivor Inspiring Moms

How do you explain breast cancer to your young children as you fight the hardest physical battle of your life? Unfortunately, many women are asking themselves this question, and Katy's book "Our Mama Is A Beautiful Garden" can help.

On the third weekend in May, DRUMSTRONG will beat cancer at the annual rhythm and arts festival in Charlotte, NC. This multicultural, family-friendly musical charity event showcases resources that support people with cancer and those who love them. 

Katy and her family have been invited to attend this nonprofit event, which is a perfect gathering for this musical family to share their story and help inspire others.

Throughout the three day festival, Katy's husband, a professional drummer and educator, David Stanoch will lead percussion education sessions and Katy and their sons, will share their book, "Our Mama Is A Beautiful Garden" with families.



Music truly engages all ages and drums are the perfect communicator as rhythm welcomes and embraces all who participate.
