Funeral Expenses for My Mom

My mother passed away without warning on July 13, 2018. As a single mother, she raised me with unconditional love and nurture in the face of much adversity and struggle. I want to honor her wishes to be buried next to her sister Diana at Holy Cross cemetery in Colma, CA. For the last eight years I have been my mother’s caregiver in our home, as she suffered from mobility issues. Due to these responsibilities and the stroke that I suffered in 2012, I have been unemployed for the last five years.

Any donation amount is greatly appreciated and can be contributed offline (in person or mail) to avoid processing fees. I am already extremely grateful to all of you who expressed condolences and don’t want anyone to feel awkward for not contributing. If I encounter you in person or other means of contact (phone, text, email, social media), I will not bring up this fundraiser. Your friendship and kindness means a great deal at this sorrowful time, so please don’t let this fundraiser become a reason to avoid me. I value our friendship and emotional support regardless of the outcome of this fundraiser.
