For Our Rose Garden

When many of us discuss our wants, they may include new cars or houses, vacations, new jobs, etc... I had a discussion with my friend and widowed mother of three, Michelle Rose, and her response cut me like the sharpest knife. She said ten words that were for me, a call to action. She said, "I don't want to die. I just want to live". You see, Michelle was recently diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer - widely regarded as the most aggressive and most difficult to treat of all the cancers. Through her undeniable strength, I heard the pain in her voice as she explained that her babyboy who is seven doesn't fully understand why Mommy is no longer able to hold his hand and walk him to school like she used to.
Insurance is great to have as long as you can get the type of care that you need from whichever facility you need it. Unfortunately, there are facilities and needed treatments that her insurance won't cover.
I am starting this GoFundMe campaign in hopes that we are able to assist Michelle and her family with needed ongoing expenses and medical expenses that her insurance won't cover.
Michelle is a vibrant spirit with a heart almost as large as her personality. She is a graduate of Brooklyn Tech High School and recently earned her degree in Biology from Medgar Evers College. She worked as a home health attendant until her own health prohibited her from doing so. Sometimes help is the thing we need the most, but is the most difficult thing to request.
Please consider donating to Michelle so she can get what she wants the most - to live.
