My name is Valentine Calvin. I am a fitness trainer with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sport Science and a passion for getting people out enjoying what our environment has to offer! Far too often fitness facilities are too expensive for entire families to experience together not to mention people stay cooped up inside when our natural environment has so much to offer!
Last spring I started a movement called Track Tuesdays! A FREE Tuesday night fun fitness opportunity for people of all abilities, ages, and walks of life to come outside and enjoy moving together.
Every week is a different adventure. From track workouts, burpees around the baseball diamond, simulated wildland fire fighter pack tests, flag football, ultimate frisbee, to endless possibilities.
Last year I volunteered my time and purchased equipment with my own funds to keep the concept of why I created this opportunity true to form. I have been receiving a lot of positive feedback from those who attended last year in the excitement leading up to this season. We are starting on Tuesday April 22nd this year! What better day to start than Earth Day! This year is going to be bigger, better, and filled with more fun fitness experiences for friends and family to share with each other.
I am looking for donations to simply help me purchase some equipment to make the experience even better! Along with possibiliteis of providing H20 and recovery snacks.
Anything you can donate is greatly appreciated. I want people to see fitness can be fun and provide an opportunity for families to do activities together.
