Our Robotics team, the 8-Bit Rams, has just won the Hudson Valley Regional FIRST Robotics competition! So we have been invited to compete in Detroit, Michigan in the FIRST Robotics World Championship on April 25-28!
The mission of FIRST is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders and innovators, by engaging them in exciting Mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
We have been working hard all season! Aside from building our robot and competing in competitions, we have been actively participating in our community. Our members run elementary school robotics classes, teach programming at the community center, and spark inspiration with our various tech showcases.
With help from generous donations, we look forward to participating and competing in this amazing opportunity.
