Oliver’s fundraiser

Earlier this week one of my son’s classmates received the devasting news that he has cancer and needs to start chemotherapy straight away. As a parent this is the worst news any of us could ever wish to hear and the last thing you would want to worry about is covering the costs of everyday life with the obvious requirement to have lots of time off work.

Oliver’s mum had the heart breaking need to share this news to the wider community and this is what she said

On Tuesday we got the worst news as parents, our happy little cheeky 6 year old boy has got cancer as a family we are heart broken! Our lives have been turned upside down & our hearts ripped apart. Back and forth from Royal Stoke & Birmingham... our little boy has now got his "wiggly" line in and is ready to start his chemo treatment, we’re trying to keep things as normal as we can for both of our boys and we know it’s going to be hard but we are trying to stay strong for our little man! He has honestly been so brave through it all, we are so proud! Also very proud of Ashley as things haven’t been "the norm" for him either with Mummy, Daddy & Oliver not being at home as much, but he is coping so well bless him! We will get our boy through this, we’ve got you baby xxxxxx
