Alex's Helping Hearts

Alex Sanders is a 12yr. old boy who goes to Wayland-Cohocton Central School. He lives in Springwater, NY and is need of open heart surgery to replace his Aortic Valve. The doctor that will be performing the surgery is Dr. Ralph Mosca, MD. The surgery will be done at the NYU Langone Medical Center in Manhattan, New York City. His Parents, Dave and Crista (Martindale), will need to be within 15 minutes of the hospital for 4-6 weeks post surgery. Due to the complexity and severity of the surgery they are in need of help as there is a large number of patients in the area which makes housing extremely limited and costly. Unfortunatley, The Ronald McDonald House is not an option for cardiac surgery children. Any help with such costs for transportation, medical costs, food, etc, is greatly appreciated. A benefit is being held on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at the Springwater Fire Hall. There will be music, food, lots of fun for the whole family. Thank you for your support.
