Getting Started:
Hello friends and family! For years now I have dreamed of and toyed with and half-heartedly attempted to make my living selling my artwork. Around this time last year I attempted to, and though was shockingly (to me) successful at the beginning, had my entire savings stolen to some ID theft within a few weeks of getting started. In fear and desperation I rushed into working a job instead, and then another job, then considered going to grad school, and then worked some more. But with a recent rush of commission requests and interest that has somehow managed to pay my rent and student loans (not an easy feat!), I have been reminded of this dream and that I can do it with a lot of work and a little bit of help. I cannot pretend that this fundraiser is on par with those with medical emergencies and the like, but it does mean the world to me. What I am asking for is help just to buy the things needed to start a small art business - A scanner/printer and camera to document my work, a simple PC to process said imagery, a new drafting table to replace my old one that is falling apart, a website (and all the related online services), a folding table to bring to market, the down payment of my market stalls and a plethora of smaller items that all add up to around 1,700$. And I am not asking for money without anything in return. In exchange for your gift I will send you a pastel, a charcoal or ink drawing as a thanks. I cannot fully express how much even the smallest gift means to me, but please know that it does. Thank you.
For 5-10$ you will receive a small piece that will fit in a standard envelope
For 11-25$ you will receive a 4x6
For 26-50$ you will receive a 5x11 or an 8x10
For 51-100$ I will do custom or multiple smaller works
For 100$+ Whatever you want!
