For anyone who knows Paul, he is always on the go, whether it is hunting, fishing, serving his community or working on a project around the house. For those who don't, Paul is semi-retired. He retired from the Plumbers & Pipefitters Union Local #174 in 2003 and went on to become a United Methodist pastor. He is an avid outdoorsman and has been all of his life. He is active within his community and loves serving his churches. He and Grace are high school sweethearts and will be celebrating their 48th Anniversary in September. Grace retired from Muskegon Public Schools after 25 years in 2005 and serves along side him in his churches. Paul loves God, his wife, children, and grandchildren. In the last month, he had started to become short of breath with any exertion. He went to his primary care physician on August 14th and his physician sent him to St. Thomas hospital in Nashville (2.5 hours from their home) for testing (i.e. Echocardiogram, Heart Catheterization, etc.). It was determined that Paul needed a quadruple heart bypass surgery. The surgery was successful, however, he contracted an infection which is affecting his lungs. Paul is critical and in the ICU. He will be there for several weeks. In the mean time, Grace is living between the hospital and a hotel room. The events of the last 2 weeks has brought about many unexpected expenses. Besides the mounting medical expenses, there is also the expense of a hotel room and food. Any donation that is made will be a blessing to them. These two are the most loving and giving people. This is our chance to pay it forward to them. Thanks Everyone!
