I have enjoyed feeding deer for 20+ years. The first 10+ years I lived in Medford, Maine. I have gone from putting out 20lbs to 400+ pounds of oats per day throughout the winter. A few bad winters over the last decade have diminished the deer population.
When I moved to Brownville, Maine, I continued to do what I love to do, feed the deer. Within a week, there were 20 deer coming for dinner. I had to adjust the amount of oats to adequately feed the deer. A month later there were 40-50 deer coming. 12 years later I have over 175+ (hard to count the exact amount). Each deer requires 3-4 pounds of oats to sustain their health. We are asking for your support in helping the deer survive another winter.
Please help "Brownville's Food Pantry For Deer.” Visit our Facebook page "Brownville's Food Pantry for Deer" to keep up to date with the herd. We also have a youtube channel. You can search Brownville's Food Pantry for Deer on youtube or you can find a link on the Facebook page. There are six camera angles on youtube, including night vision. Also check out the link on the bottom of the page to see a segment from Channel 2's 207. Any donation is appreciated and the deer and I thank you so much.
The oats are purchased locally, supporting Maine business. This year over $7000 worth of oats will be purchased. All donations will go towards the purchase of oats, food blocks, apples, supplies and maintenance.
Thank you so much for your support and donations throughout the years. We hope you enjoy this upcoming season! A special thank you to Pro Tech Solutions for all your technical support and our chat moderators.
