liaini's journey

Hello "“ I would like to share a story I hope no one has to experience in their lifetime. Liaini was a very athletic, energetic, caring, compassionate and loving woman. She is a soldier, a combat medic and a nurse. She raises two beautiful daughters "“ one of them has a condition called Microcephaly. On top of defending our country and being considered special enough by God to raise a special needs daughter she has been diagnosed with a systemic inflammatory disease that is rare and unexplained "“ Adult Onset Stills. The disease attacks and destroys her joints; along with attacking her tissues and organs.She was diagnosed in October and the disease has quickly deteriorated her life and basically rendered her incapable of working as well as physically and financially unable to raise her daughters or pay the necessary bills to live normally. She has been forced to go on unpaid medical leave as well as losing her medical insurance.  Liaini went from being physically normal to being in constant severe pain. She is completely dependent on her family to do tasks that we all take for granted. Going to the restroom, taking a shower, walking, combing her hair, combing her daughters hair, getting dressed, getting up from bed, laying in bed or even sitting up. I cannot remember the last time I seen her walk or stand without being in a complete hunch over position. The pain is so great "“ even holding her daughters is unbearable "“ yet she fights thru the tears and pain to somewhat do the simple task of touching them. Those of you who know her know she will give the shirt off her back to a perfect stranger "“ give her last few cents to someone in need and give her all for her family and friends. Please find compassion in your heart to help a mother who is willing to defend our country at its time of need. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
