Modern Day "Job"

Colorectal cancer surgery, May 2011.  After 90 days in the hospital with no answers, and having lost 50 pounds from sickness, we went to UCLA specialists to be told my husband never really needed chemo, radiation nor the type of surgery he received here in Vegas. The surgery site had fallen apart from overradiation and leaks, abcesses. After 22 hospital visits in 3 years now, and unable to work more than a few hours, if that, my husbands company had to let him go.  No other company would have been so good to us to carry us this long.  So, no job, no income. Losing our home. Spent most of my husbands retirement and income trying to keep up with med bills. We are simply broke. On IV Hydration daily, with home healthcare. Just turned in a Social Securinty Disability packet, they say it will take 2 years for approval, and most likely to be turned down the first time

. Right now what we are needing is assistance with the upcoming surgery in California (motel, gas, etc.) as well as moving expenses back to stay with family in Spokane, WA.  A highly rated surgeon is going to attempt to reconnect my husbands bowels and take down the iliostomy he has been left with.  We are told there is a 50/50 chance, but with such a poor quality of life (constant nausea, ab pain, hernias, dehydration and exhaustion) my husband is willing to take the risk.  Thru this all, we have not asked God "WHY?", but are yet trusting him thru this journey, as we know the outcome is in his hands.  So, no, this isn't a "feel sorry for me" issue, it is just the journey we are on, and we need some financial acts of kindness.
