Travel Expenses To Hospital
Friends and Family - I'm hoping for your help.
Recently, my brother-in-law, David James, was diagnosed with Stage IV, squamous cell carcinoma of the oropharynx. This is inoperable throat cancer. He will need intense radiation treatments 5 days a week for the next 7 weeks, combined with chemotherapy.
His diagnosis came as a rude awakening, 6 months after the birth of his beautiful daughter Peyton Marie. He's a loving husband, devoted family-man, and a friend to all. David has so much to live for and will fight this!
But the reality is harsh .. fighting cancer is a big commitment especially on one salary with insurance premiums, prescriptions, a mortgage, car payments, utilities, daycare, two dogs and a baby at home. Sarah is working 6 days a week and sometimes more than 50 hours per week just to help ends meet.
All of this, and they don't complain. They won't ask for help. They stay positive. But as the big brother, I can ask for help. My goal is to raise enough to cover David's travel expenses to and from the hospital.
David will be traveling from Townsend to MGH in downtown Boston to fight this battle. This trip is 110 miles, round trip, 5 days a week. This is about two tanks of gas per week (around $150 per week).
Every dollar donated will go to help David, Sarah & Peyton fight this battle with cancer and help pay for David's travel expenses to and from MGH.
A big brothers promise to his little sister is to protect and help her, no matter the odds. Well, unfortunately, I can't punch cancer in the face. But I can do this. Please help me, help Sarah and her loving family.
Sincerely,
Steve Anthony
