Ongoing Medical treatment

This is my cousin Zemira Mujic. After being sick with flu-like symptoms she went to the ER on Monday March 4th. There, doctors discovered that she had the influenza virus and a Strep A infection. She was immediately admitted and within only a few hours things took a turn for the worse. The Strep A turned into a septic shock (life threatening infection of her blood and organs). Her lungs and kidneys failed from the shock and she had to be paralyzed, put on a respiratory and dialysis. As of today, she is on life support and is not responsive. Doctors are doing everything they can to fight the infection.She is only 34 years young with two boys that love and need her. We are all heartbroken and are hoping and praying for a miracle.

My name is Hasib Mujic and Zemira is my cousin. I would like to let everyone know that she is recovering slowly but still in the ICU. Her liver and lungs are doing much better. Her kidneys are finally showing some positive signs as well. On Friday the doctors had to perform a emergency surgery to remove a part of her colon as well as her appendix due to poor blood circulation and the tissue started dying out. She still has no circulation in parts of her feet and some fingers in her left arm. I will continue updating here with all progress. I have set a beneficiary for the funds donated from everyone here. Her beneficiary is Emir Bilalic who is her boyfriend and the father their 2 children. Emir will withdraw these funds into their shared account daily. These funds will be used for everything that Zemira will require trough her healing and recovery process. It is not known when and if Zemira will be able to return to work at this time and she will need to be cared for as the recovery will take a long time. Again I would like to thank every one of you for the help.
