Surgery to get my life back

Kloe' and I were driving home the other day when we came to a stop light. We saw a young man holding a cardboard sign that said (traveling, anything helps. God bless). I asked her if we should give him anything. She said of course, because we have no idea why he really needed money, but we shouldn't judge him. I had a high paying oilfield job with over 15 years of experience in 2009. Life was amazing! I had met the one that would become my future wife, and her daughter. I worked hard, but lived well. I was able to take care of them and provide them with everything they could imagine. From January 2009 I had begin to feel pain in my left knee. It got steadily worse, and my doctor could not figure out what was wrong. On April 27th 2009 I was ready to drive away in an eighteen wheeler when the pain was unbearable. I had someone drive me to the E.R.. Ex rays found nothing! They gave me pain meds, and sent me home at around 6:30 in the morning. I never worked again. In August of 2009 I was finally diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. We were told that it was so bad that I had the joints equal to a 90 year old man. Though medication has immensely helped control the pain, lack of mobility, lack of exercise, and other things such as, high blood pressure, fluid retention, diabetes, and many illnesses caused by side effects of medications ( constant sinusitis, walking pneumonia, and Hodgkin's lymphoma, among others) have brought me towards severe obesity. My doctor has agreed with me that a massive weight loss over time will not take away the Rheumatoid disease, but will give me hope in being able to lead a real life. I desperately want to enjoy and live life with my family, not just watch them living life or holding them back because I cannot participate. Any little bit helps. If you cannot, I completely understand, and care for you just the same. This is not just for me, it is for my family. Thank you, and God bless.
