Hello,
My name is Lesley and I'm trying to help out a good friend of mine Blair. Blaire recently lost his guide dog Nala to cancer at a young age. Blaire became paraplegic 10 years ago after a water accident. Blair now works with two national non-profit organizations. The first one provides peer support for newly injured spinal cord injury survivors and their families. Through the same org he advocates for improving accessibility and raising awareness to it, most recent success was getting all taxis in Toronto accessible by the year 2025. The other org is an injury prevention program, he will go into high schools and to talk with students about the dangers of taking improper risks. He shares his story of how he was injured in the hopes they think about him and what may happen if they too do not think before they leap.
Blaire has done allot to help others since his accident, and loosing his little girl Nala has broken his heart and he desperately needs another helper in his life to help with the daily tasks, and to have someone there to love when things get tuff.
With all the Blair has done, his wheelchair has taken a beating and he requires a new one.
Please help this wonderful man find the help he needs.
