Norah is a sweet and happy (almost) 4 year old little girl who has a rare genetic disorder called Pontocerebellar Hypoplasia Type 2. This means that things like walking, talking, eating, and verbally communicating are difficult/impossible for her. Norah has an incredible network of friends and family who love her and her parents tremendously. Because of that, Liz's sister (Kate Young) and two of Liz's friends (Vanessa Bal and Melissa Maye) have organized this fundraising for Norah.
Because of the amazing kindness of many people, Norah has been able to get the Upsee, which allows kids to get the experience of walking, playing, kicking balls, etc. that they normally would never get. She has also gotten the Goto Seat, which she uses every week during horseback riding therapy. Her parents have also been able to get her a Freedom Concept bike, the Corner Sitter, and A Comfy Lift inclined bed. These devices have helped improve Norah's quality of life, and allowed her parents the ability to give Norah the freedom to play, ride horses, dance, and go bike riding! Because the fundraising has been so successful, we're expanding the list of items for our Norah. Norah has grown up this last year and a half and her needs have progressed and evolved.
