For the love of our friend, Darlene

Our friend, Darlene, is a fabulous single Mom who raised two handsome sweet sons, Joe and Jonathan. Though being a single parent has been a financial struggle, she has has always managed to do so with a smile on her face and a great sense of humor; not to mention being a fantastic mother each and every day. She is kind and loving and would do anything for anybody. A year ago in May 2013 she was diagnosed with Colon Cancer, stage 4. She had just turned 51.  The cancer was in full rage and was found on the outside of the colon.  Unfortunately, a colonoscopy would not have even detected this. Since May she has been in and out of the hospital.  Darlene works hard as a massage therapist, and her illness has left her without the ability to work much in between her treatments. As of today, the cancer has widespread to her intestines and is inoperable. There are many complications. Recently, Darlene was told that she can no longer ingest food. For anyone who knows Darlene, food is her passion. She is a remarkable chef herself, and this was devestating news. In recent days her condition has worsened. We, her friends and family, are asking for help from the kindness of others. The financial burden of cancer is overwhelming and unfair. Please consider any amount to help Darlene and her two wonderful sons. Thank you to all.
