On March 28th Tjs mother took him to the doctors in fear that he had the flu. He had been feeling fatigued and tired for about a week and a half. When they arrived at the emergency room the doctors immediately told him that his white blood cell count is over 78,000 when normally it should be around 10,000. The doctor at Mon General then said that he has diagnosed many people and was pretty sure he had Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. They sent him to ruby to be admitted into the Children's Hospital and begin testing immediately. He had a bone marrow and spinal tap along with his first round of chemo on Monday March 31. Tj is a young 14 year old boy who loves playing football and basketball with his friends, who I might add showed their amazing support the first couple of days Tj was in here. This recovery is going to be a long hard road but he has an amazing family and friends who will be here for him every step of the way. He was officially diagnosed monday night with the third stage of ALL Leukemia. We are still awaiting the chromosome test to see if he will be moved to a high risk cancer patient. All of the people who know Tj know that he is a strong willed kid and is not going to let anything get in his way of a better life !! Thank you so much for helping us! We love all of you !
