In March, my husband, children, and I visited California to see my mother. Shortly after, we were told that her cancer had returned and she had about a year to live. It is now August and she is now on hospice care. Everything changed so quickly; we are definitely not ready. Now my family and I are finding the strength to deal with the sorrow we feel as we make preparations for my mother's service and final resting place.
Though we are losing our mother, my family and I are proud to be given guardianship of my twin brothers to help raise them the way my mother and their father hoped they'd be. With this comes new responsibilities both emotionally and financially. We ask that all our family, friends and anyone else touched with a giving heart will help us out with my mother's funeral and burial expenses so that my family can focus on grieving and my husband and I can better handle the responsibilities of the six boys we are blessed to raise.
