Preaching Internship

I am nearing the end of my journey here at Kentucky Christian University, as this is the conclusion of my junior year and my last semester of on-campus classes. To obtain my degree I have to complete a 6-month internship working for an established church full-time under the supervision of a preaching minister. I will be completing this internship starting mid-May and finishing mid-December of 2014. To fulfill this internship, I am looking into serving at reGeneration Church located in Huntington, WV. During my time there, I will be doing a variety of different ministries. Some of the opportunities presented to me will be preaching, leading small groups, pastoral care, counseling, serving in a number of community outreach programs, along with many other ways to serve. I will also be gaining invaluable information about the church planting world. Most church internships are paid as the intern comes along side the staff to learn and to assist with their gifts. However, I feel that God has led me in a much different direction that will be more difficult and faith expanding but also fulfilling and fruitful. reGeneration is a relatively new church plant, essentially meaning as a church they are still raising support until able to fully financially support themselves. Given that I believe God has called me to church planting, I am making every effort to strive in that direction, and this opportunity to work with such a church will be an incredible learning experience. With that said, I am needing to raise the entirety of funds to support my time learning and working with reGeneration. I have a budget that will include every need that I have, ranging from housing to groceries in the fridge. I am very hopeful and confident that God will provide for me during this time through many of you taking the time to read this.
