Dentures
Donation protected
Since giving birth to my youngest, at 45, my health took a turn. My teeth started falling out, and though I have a dental plan, I have to pay up front and I do not have the cash to do so. I would like to add, that my plan does not cover dentures. I, like many out there, am a single parent, and all my savings have been cashed out in one way or another. Paying hydro, trying to clothe my children, paying mortgage, and ensuring there is food in the house. I do not want much in life, but I can tell you one thing, I really miss being able to eat solid food. It has been an embarrassing few years. I do not smile like I used to, and as you can imagine, eating can be a challenge. I have been advised that a simple set of dentures would be around $2,500. I was such a happy, confident woman before this and now, I feel like I am unworthy. This is very sad for a person who has drove forward through many heartbreaks, and hard times. With a set of dentures, my confidence would come back, my children would stop worrying about me, and maybe I would be able to move forward in my life with a huge smile on my face. Thank you for providing a tool that is so helpful for so many.
