Rebuilding after a FIRE!

Stephen Anderson has lost his wife (2009), and contact with various members of his family since that time. He had lost contact with his biological grandson in 2007, and was reunited with and gained residential custody of him in 2013.
The foster family had 11 kids including his grandson, and Steve has become "Pappy" to all 11 children. We have taken him in as the grandfather to our "village" and now he has had a horrible house fire.
He and his grandson, Zachary, both got out with their pug, Lucy, and their gerbils, Sam & Rodney. Their parakeets, Harley & Sparky, didn't make it. The firefighters at Station 681 made heroic attempts to revive them and the gerbils. The gerbils survived, but the birds were buried by the firefighters!
He had a heart attack, and is now facing lifestyle changes that incorporate his new cardiac status and diabetes along with a frightening seizure disorder.
He is on a fixed income raising a 16 year old grandchild, and has lost everything he owned (pics as soon as we are cleared to enter the property). We were able to get out the URN with his wife and a few other momentos, but very little else. If you can see it in your heart to help with the deposits and transfer fees, the dumpster rental, the cost of disposing things, the fees that were incurred in the hospital NOT covered by Medicare, an replacement of EVERYTHING lost. Just in the last 4 days we have incurred $500.00 in incidentals so they had clothing, medication, toiletries, etc. We have contacted local charities and organizations. They are helping with clothing and things, but financially they are in great need.
Please find it in your heart to help this gentleman who has a huge heart, a giving spirit, and would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. Let's find a way to show him how we can give back to him for all that he has lost. Let's give "Pappy" back his amazing smile!
