Giving Dad the send off he deserves!

Hi I am Claire, the eldest daughter of Terry Jones. We very recently lost our amazing Dad which is hard enough at the best of times. We have just found out that, although Dad had taken out a funeral plan to try and make things easier for myself and my 2 sisters (Sarah and Emma), it was only taken out last year and his plan was still within 12 month period required to ensure all costs were covered - by 2 weeks!!! So this means that we have a shortfall. Losing him so early wasn’t something any of us expected or could have foreseen and he would be mortified to think of any of us struggling to pay the balance for his funeral. He wanted nothing more than for his girls to be okay and didn’t want to burden us financially at such a difficult and heartbreaking time.

Our Dad was one of the most genuine, kind and caring people you could ever wish to meet. He was unselfish and would have given his last penny to anyone who needed it. He gave a lot of time for his family, friends and the local community. He was so well thought of and loved by so many. We are reaching out to anyone who might want to help give him the send off he had planned and that he more than deserves.
