Help Boba feel better!

Hi! This is my partner Risa and her sweet dog Boba. Boba is the sweetest dog you will ever meet and is also Risa's service dog. Boba has been life changing for Risa and performs tasks to help Risa manage panic attacks, anxiety, and depression.

Boba is also a rescue who has had to overcome neglect, adversity, and hardship, and since being rescued to become a service dog, is the sweetest dog with the gentlest temperament you'll ever meet!

Yesterday, Boba started to feel very sick and threw up 18 times in 24 hours. Risa took Boba to urgent care where Boba was diagnosed with hepatic encephalopathy. This is a syndrome of neurological problems caused by poor liver function that prevents the liver from clearing poisons from the bloodstream. Severe hepatic encephalopathy can result in a coma so we are glad we caught it early enough!

 

This one visit cost close to $5,000 and it is unclear what the longterm health and financial burden will look like. This is a huge and unexpected financial burden. Please help Boba feel better soon so that he can continue doing his job supporting Risa's mental health.
