Donica - NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE

My name is Donica Williams Murray and I'm asking for your help me with my fight against HER2-positive breast cancer.  The picture attached was taken on October 21, 2107, just a few weeks ago on my 47th birthday.  Also attached is a picture of me after being diagnosed November 15 with HER2-positive breast cancer stage 2.  At first the doctors thought the mass was approximately 7 mm in size, then they realized it was actually 10 mm in size.  Because of the size I was told that it may actually be at Stage 3.

Since my diagnosis I have been saturated with multiple doctors appointments every week.  Oncologists, MRI's, Biopsies, breast surgeons, chemotherapy, etc.  Although I have employee provided health insurance,  Because I'm too sick to go to work, I have had to go on disability for now, which only pays me a percentage of my salary. I quickly learned that it would not be enough to tackle the insurmountable medical bills and co-payments that would accompany all of my medical attention needs. 

To add to the heap, my husband and I recently purchased our first home we just closed on in September.  We went from an all time high to a devastating all time low. The rollercoaster of emotions and stark reality have been as you can imagine, OVERWHELMING.

Between my prescriptions, doctors appointment co-pays and mounting balances for treatment, and the responsibility of maintaining a new mortgage payment, I have to accept that my husband and I simply CAN NOT do it alone.

To all my co-workers ,friends and family, thank you so much for what you have done for me so far. A special thank you to the "Crew Members at Sandy Springs" for stepping up to task and for all that you are doing, words can not express the gratitude I have for all of you, but even with all the help, I will need much more as the bills are increasing weekly.

Below is a description of what HER2-positive breast cancer does.  It is a very aggressive cancer type.  However, I do not plan to let it win, I WILL FIGHT and because I have an AWESOME SUPPORT CREW, NO FIGHTS ALONE!!!
