New roof for Sigma Sigma Sigma lodge!

Spende geschützt
The Alpha Alpha chapter of Sigma Sigma Sigma at Concord University is the only campus Greek life to own our own property. We use the Sigma Lodge for many activities; including holding our meetings, formal recruitment, dance practices, homecoming tea, and various other events. The lodge was donated by Wilma C. Toothman in the early 1900's and has been on our campus ever since. In the past five years we have had to raise money to fill a sink hole which was 6 feet deep and 4 feet wide that was created from a septic tank caving in. Also we have recently had our trees cut down to prevent any damage to the lodge or surrounding property. As active collegiate members, we have done our best to upkeep our lodge and to keep it remaining on campus for our alumna, our active members, and for future members. Our current project is to replace the roof. Here in Athens, we get a lot of rain and snow and it has become such an issue with leaks in the lodge that we have had to set up buckets to collect the water. We have made many efforts in preventing the costly effort of replacing the roof, but those efforts have only prolonged the inevitable. Our goal is to be able to raise enough money to replace the current roof with a metal roof, so that this may not be an issue for future generations of sisters. Therefore, we are asking for any donation, whether small or large, to help us preserve our precious lodge for those generations of Tri Sigma sisters to come. Thank you for any type of donation you may give and we hope you spread this news in the hopes of helping us "Raise The Roof!"
