This is Fiana's business storefront. She is the sole owner of this small business in Westville Village. She is a dear friend who recently was injured. Fiana is a hair dresser by trade, however she is an artist in every sense of the word. She works for herself and has been very successful since she emigrated from Moldova to the US almost 20 years ago. She is an amazing artist who has touched so many people in the short time she has been here. Whether it is the unique hair style, flower arrangement, centerpiece or make up for your wedding, it all is done with the utmost care and attention by this creative woman.
A few days ago, Fiana fell down some stairs and broke her hand. She cannot work and does not know what she will do about the medical bills, living expenses, or her salon rent. As any self-employed person knows, the health insurance you can afford will not cover all medical expenses. She has no sick time to take from an employer. As many of us do not have sufficient savings to carry us through several months of being out of work, neither does she.
