45 years ago a little sister entered our lives, Laura Ann Sawyer Cook. I was 12 years old and my brother was 16. What a gift!
What a year! October, 2016 Hurricane Matthew destroyed our parents' home and the three of us with Family and Friends began to rebuild.
On November 27th, 2017 the three of us lost the best Daddy in the whole world and on November 27th, 2017 one hour later our Baby Sister Laura was diagnosed with inoperable synovial sarcoma. Cancer. There is so much tumor we do not know primary cause, but it is in her abdomen. She has had fluid drawn off her lungs three times since November 27th. The fluid causes her to be unable to breathe well. Getting sicker every day she never left our Daddy's side for 5 weeks. As hospice care she cared for him and our Mom and never complained and now we must care for her.
But GOD IS GOOD. She is at McCleod Cancer Treatment and Research Center in Florence, SC . We ask you for your prayers first and foremost. Please pray for her and Her husband Timmy, Daughter Haley and 9 month old precious little grandson Zayden. The funds raised will help pay for Medical Costs that are not covered under Charity Care and for her family as needed. She is receiving aggressive chemo. We pray it is responding. No prayer or gift is too small and we are so grateful for all of you and thank you so much! God Bless you all.
