Cindy Zickel is the mother of three daughters (Katlin, Jacquelyn and Michelle) and "Yaya" to 6-year-old, Christopher. She is also a beloved friend, second mom, and "Auntie" to MANY.
In February, Cindy was diagnosed with extensive stage small cell lung cancer, a rare and aggressive type of the disease that carries a dismal prognosis. Though it's heartbreaking to see her endure such agony, we are proud to see her fighting so hard for survival!
Thankfully, we are blessed by a huge support network of friends and family that want, so badly, to help.
Unfortunately, the costs associated with cancer treatment for an uninsured individual are insurmountable: medications to manage pain and inflammation, gas to travel 120 miles daily for radiation and chemotherapy, and special dietary needs to prevent extreme weight loss.
