Matt’s medical fund

Update 3/11/23: Our beautiful Matt passed last nights surrounded by his loved ones. He was my everything. My protector. My husband. My best friend.

We were all very blessed to have him in our lives, and as he makes his journey to heaven, we can feel good that he is at peace.

Thank you to everyone for your many messages and prayers. They truly were felt!

We hope everyone can think back on memories with Matt and be filled with love and laughter. He found joy in making people laugh and smile, so we hope his memories can continue to bring you laughter and smiles.

When you think about one of the most laid-back, kind, positive guys you know, I'm guessing Matt Peterson tops your list. He is a friend to everyone and always the life of the party.

In November 2021, Matt was diagnosed with appendiceal cancer. He has undergone countless rounds of chemo and hospital stays and has fought hard. It’s now time to make peace and spend his final days with his family. God is calling him and that’s amazing and very difficult. He is home being made comfortable. Through it all, Matt has maintained his positive attitude, fighting spirit, and contagious smile. He is amazing.
