Cathy Olup, a loving wife, mother of three and grandmother of four was diagnosed with cancer in March 2013. Has had numerous treatment and procedures thru 2013 that gave her and her family hopes of successful treatment. Unfortunately in January of 2014 cancer returned. Cathy has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. The Hospital told Cathy that there was nothing that could be done and she returned home. Cathy is facing this illness as she has faced life itself, with a strong faith in God and calmness in the face of adversity. Fortunately Cathy has been accepted into a Clinical Trial where new chemotherapy treatment is being tried. Cathy and Roger drive 5 hours each way from Johnson City, TN to Nashville for 2 days every week with an overnight stay while she is under going treatment. The trial could last an uncertain length of time. Cathy has been unable to work due to these treatments. Roger gets no salary on the 2 days a week he is unable to work taking Cathy to Nashville. This has led to tremendous financial strain heaped on top of the strain and stress of coping with the illness. What better way to help this family ease some of the stress that they are going thru.
