Medical Costs & Bills

On September 3rd at around 4:30pm my partner & the father of our 4 year old daughter, left on his bicycle to go to work. He has not been driving and got the bike to help give me a break from all the driving I've done for our family over the past 1.5 years. Within 20 minutes of him leaving, he walked back in the front door covered in blood, scared and not even knowing why he was home or where he had just been. He didn't even remember his older daughter's b-day party only a few hours before.

In a panic, I got him to Urgent Care in Airdrie, AB. He didn't know the year, & kept repeating that he didn't know what had happened. I've never seen him that scared. He had X-rays, was examined and then sent in an ambulance to the Foothills hospital. His nose was broken, his very expensive teeth (mouth plate) destroyed and his face a bloody, bruised mess. And of course because he landed on his face/forehead, he has a significant concussion.

We suspect Mark was hit by a vehicle while making his way to work and have filed a police report. Unfortunately though, with big gaps in his memory and no license plate, there isn't much they can do at this point.

I have mixed feelings about making a GoFundMe; however, we could use some help financially. He has had the worst luck over the past couple years and has lost so many things and has fought so many battles that he just can't ever seem to get ahead. It has been very challenging for us as a family with young children.

We're not asking for much, but as of right now, he can't work and I cannot support us on my own. He will also need a new mouth plate (he has no top teeth now) and I don't have the money for this. He needs to be able to have teeth to eat and work (as he's in sales). I also worry about an ambulance fee and our bills for this month. Mark works 3 jobs to help us pay our bills every month and at this point in time, he cannot work any of them.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I know so many people are struggling financially right now and I appreciate any and all support from all of you. I know it would take a huge load off just to be able to get Mark a new mouth plate.
