Help Bring Jessica Home!

As you all know Jessica went to Florida to help care for her sister Angela who was diagnosed with stage 4 cervical cancer and also her mother Mary who suffers from cancer. Unfortunately while down there helping things made a turn for the worst and Jessica had a massive stroke, since then she has spent the last month in Broward North Hospital, during her stay there she has gone through multiple procedures including having a blood clot removed from her brain, being placed on a ventilator and a tracheotomy. Post brain surgery the doctors and surgeon said she would never come off of life support, never have any brain function, never breathe on her own and would be paralyzed from her neck down. With the Love and Support of her Family and Friends, and through the grace of God, Jessica is 3 weeks off the ventilator, is moving her limbs, has sensitivity to touch, and has brain activity. The Doctors are in amazement but what Jessica needs more than ever is to be home to get the rehabilitation that is crucial for Jessica’s recovery which she can not receive in Florida because she is not a resident there so her insurance company will not cover it! So we jumped through hoops trying to find her a bed in a rehabilitation facility in Pennsylvania and were blessed to get the approval from Kindred Hospital in Havertown, but again we’re at a road block! Jessica needs an air ambulance to be able to be brought back to Philadelphia which her insurance company has DENIED because of the costs from her current stay at Broward and the costs of her possibly upcoming stay at Kindred. The cost of the flight for the air ambulance is $35,000 they will not do ground with her because it can jeopardize her health more. To know Jessica is to love Jessica! She has overcome so many tragedies in her life and is now stuck in a tragedy of her own fighting to get well for her son who is her heart and soul who she hasn’t seen since before her trip, We are asking everybody to please donate anything you possibly can, if you can’t donate please share this as far and wide as possible to reach as many people as we can we have only a matter of days to bring Jessica back home to her son, family and friends or Keystone will revoke her referral and she will be stuck in Florida placed in a nursing home where she will never get the care she needs because they are not equipped for her level of care and never be able to get home!!
