My name is Michael Hill (Mike Hill) I am a terminal manager for TransWood Inc. in Baytown, TX. We have had several drivers whose homes and vehicles have suffered catastrophic damage during the flooding following Hurricane Harvey. This Hurrincane dumped over 50 inches of rain on the Baytown area. That is difficult to even imagine and even more difficult to deal with in reality. We are just looking to collect some funds to help assist these drivers recovery from their loses. These drivers spend days, weeks and sometimes months away from their families to make ends meet.
Not only did the flooding destroy these driver's homes but it also impacted their paychecks. Out terminal was inaccessible for over a week during the flooding. This means not only are they having to come up with money for insurance deductibles and to replace groceries and clothes. They also missed out on a weeks worth of pay.
They are some of the best in the industry or they would not be working for us. Anything at all helps and will be appreciated more than you will ever know. The Baytown area team have been assisting these drivers every way we can, even if it was just lending helping hands in gutting damaged houses. We will continue to work to get these guys back on their feet as soon as possible but we need your help.
Several of these drivers are facing having to rent and pay their mortgages while their homes are being repaired. There is also deductibles for the one's who had the "right kind" of insurance and for those who didn't they are looking at paying for most of this out of pocket. I don't care how much you prepare and plan, noone is ready for an 800 year flood.
Any money raised in this campaign will be used to assist these drivers in rebuilding their homes and thier lives. Funds will be withdrawn to my personal account and distributed equally amongst these drivers.
Anything you can spare is greatly appreciated.
