Papua Teaching Internship

For the FALL 2014 semester, I will be taking a break from my studies at Nyack College to embark on an adventure of a lifetime! For just under six months, I will be in Papua, Indonesia teaching, assisting, learning, and being completely immerced in the culture as an intern at TITIP school (Training Indonesians for Transition to Institutional Programs). TITIP gives students the unique opportunity to study and build life skills that will be used in the university level in the future. They "annually select 30-40 young men and women of Papua- rich in God-given potential but perhaps monetarily poor- to participate in the TITIP program and become leaders with the capacity to teach, train and facilitate development in all sectors of life- spiritually, academic, social, and physical".
The funding will help support my flights there and cost of living for 5 months. Any small amount helps!
