Hello Family, Friends and Potential Donors,
I have been accepted into the Joffrey Ballet's prestigious Summer Intensive Program in New York City. Based on my audition performance, I have been awarded a full scholarship for the tuition portion of the program. Unfortunately, the scholarship does not cover the housing portion that is needed for me to attend the program and this is why I am in need of the $3000.00. My story is similiar to many other kids of single-parent homes except for the fact that my single mother gave up her 10 year career in City Government to afford me the opportunity to travel the U.S. in the National Musical tour of 101 Dalmatians and then that open the door for me to audition and receive an offer to obtain one of my life goals at age "11" which was playing the role of a Ballet Girl in Billy Elliot, The Musical on Broadway. After my run on Broadway ended in 2011, my Mom has not been able to get a job making the type of salary she gave up and for the last year, she has been working and raising our family consisting of me and my younger sister on a part-time job. She just recently was made full-time at her present job, but financially she just does not have the kind of money to pay for this opportunity. I so want to continue pursuing my dreams and passion for what I know I was born to do and that is to dance. Any donations towards my pursuit would be greatly appreciated. I promise one day you will see me dancing a principle role just like my biggest role model, Misty Copeland and I will be able to THANK YOU for helping to pave the way to that dream.
