Carman Brooks has been diagnosed with ulceritive colitis and C. difficile infection.  Carman has been suffering with these diseases for many years, and has recently undergone multiple surgeries followed by multiple complications and repeat hospital visits.  Carman nearly lost her life from the C. difficile.  She has been out of work due to her illness for quite some time, and her husband, Decatur Police Officer Larry Brooks, has been by her side for the entire ride.  

Carman is currently in treatment at Barnes Hospital, away from her children and other family.  This fund is set up to help with medical expenses and other basic neccesities such as food, fuel and children's expenses.
