2019 London New Years Day Parade

Tax deductible
On September 19th, 2017 the Town of Groton welcomed Robert Davis, Lord Mayor of Westminster, into Fitch High School's auditorium. He made the trip from London to Groton to officially invite the Fitch Falcon Marching Band and Chamber Choir to perform in the 2019 London New Year's Day Parade. "After a tough and a thorough selection process, to ensure that the parade only comprises of the very best, I have with me the formal invitation to invite you all to come to London and participate in the 2019 London Parade and Festival, an honor bestowed on very few high schools in the United States." The parade was founded 32 years ago and more than 650,000 people packed the iconic 2-mile route in 2018.

Approximately 115 students from the Robert E. Fitch music department will be attending this once in a lifetime, invitation only trip at just over $3,000 per student. Students participating in the trip will have the opportunity to perform in the 2019 New Year's Day parade as well as several other world renowned venues like Westminster Abbey, Cadogan Hall (home of The Royal Philharmonic) and St. John's Smith Square. Aside from performances, students will get a full day excursion to The Tower of London, a full day tour to the Town of Windsor  and a special visit to the castle dating back to 1066 and is the seat of the British Royal Family.

Please consider helping our kids experience this once in a lifetime trip. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
