Route 9 Recording Donations

Route 9 is an all-male a capella group based out of Amherst College. Entirely student run, we sing original arrangements of classic pop and rock songs, from Michael Jackson to Maroon 5 to Billy Joel to Avicii, among others. We're currently working with audio engineer Marc Seedorf at Northfire Studio to produce a professionally recorded album featuring six songs. So far, we've recorded rough takes of all six. What remains is to mix and master them. Our goal is to release the album on the date of our Spring Show, May 2nd. To do so, we need to raise more money to cover the studio costs. Our goal is to raise 900 dollars. We are extremely grateful for any contributions, large or small.

We are passionate about creating original, interesting, and unique arrangements, and hope to create a set of recordings that accurately captures Route 9's dedication and talent. A lot of work has been put into this album by each and every member of the group, and we all hope to continue working on this project so that it can be the best it can be. Because our limited revenue every year comes solely from selling tickets to gigs, we need to raise additional funds so we can continue work on the recording and finish it by our Spring Show. Once the recording is complete, it will be used to share our music with friends, family, and the general public. Furthermore, it will allow us to promote the group so we can get performing opportunities.
