Stinky's cancer treatments

My 5 year old kitty, Stinky, was diagnosed with tongue cancer in February.  The vet said without surgery, he would live 2-6 weeks.  We opted for the surgery and the biopsy came back malignant.  It is a very rare cancer and the surgeon was not able to get all of the tumor.  We went to an NEVOG (New England Vet Oncologist Group) yesterday to meet with an oncologist.  There are treatments we can do for him.  Without any further treatments, the vet has given him 6-12 months to live.  The options are: radiation, radiation and chemo, or chemo only.  The Xray confirmed it has not travelled outside his mouth yet and we are looking to extend his life as long as possible.  The treatments are the ONLY way to attempt to extend his life.  We have decided chemo only, but it is very expensive.  The chemo in animals is not painful or does not have the side effects as it does with humans.  He will not lose his fur (maybe just his whiskers) and his quality of life will not be diminished.  With chemo, we are hoping for 5 years...maybe more.  I'm looking to see if anyone can help donate money as we have already spent close to $3000 on the surgeries he has had.  I'm not sure if we have the money to go forward with the chemo...and I just want Stinky to have as long of a life as he can.
