Our pastor has the amazing opportunity to study at Jerusalem University
for three weeks from June 16- July 6, 2014. He will be studying the Historical and Geographical Settings of the Bible. This intensive three-week course will introduce him to the geography, history, and archaeology of Israel. He is excited about the opportunity to walk the streets of Jerusalem and reconstruct the features of the city and its environment during biblical times. This is an amazing opportunity to elevate the relevance of his preaching for our urban context because he will understand the geography as well as the culture during the time of Christ and other periods of biblical history. Pastah J is a committed seminary student earning an M.Div. degree in Christian Community Development
. He has already raised enough through scholarships and personal investment to cover the travel, lodging costs and tuition! He needs our help raising funds to cover other miscellaneous costs: travelers insurance, books, biblical memorabilia and other geographical artifacts he wants to bring back to the church.
