Surgery Deductible and Travel Expenses

FRIENDS and FAMILY, we know of a real NEED. My granddaughter's step-brother has a HUGE medical need. You can pass this on, but please don't go crazy. Be selective. It's not a scam ... but a real need. I, personally, know the family and the child. Please read below:

Rayden Alonzo is a bright and courteous 12-year-old young man who loves to read his Bible and action adventure books, plays tennis, and he loves to share quality time with his family and friends. I've personally watched him clicking away on his games ... normal kid these days, for sure!!!

This last summer while Rayden was spending his summer vacation with his father in Galveston, an unfortunate event occurred which resulted in a broken arm. When Rayden was taken to the hospital, the x-rays showed a break in his arm. In addition, it revealed a lesion that was embedded into the bone close to the breakage. (It's like a cyst embedded inside the bone.)

The Doctor said that it was a "blessing in disguise" because they would have never known of the lesion, but due to the breakage, it was discovered. So, the family thanks God for that. Rayden's arm, after 5 months, healed perfectly, and they thank God for that. Now, he must have the lesion removed from within the bone, and a bone graph must be done in order for his bone to infuse together. This involves getting into the bone and scraping the lesion out. In addition, a sample must be taken to rule out cancer and to ensure a healthy strong arm.

Rayden's father has insurance for him, but it has a $1500 deductible, and the mother is responsible for that. She;s a Head Start Teacher in a small town school system and cannot afford additional insurance for Rayden. She didn't know she might need it. They do not qualify for Medicaid, either. This family has present financial difficulties and cannot reach the deductible for this important medical emergency surgery for the child. Rayden needs this surgery as soon as possible.

I have almost 500 friends and family on Facebook. If everyone donated $3.00, the goal could be MET almost immediately. Of course, some may want to give more, and that would be a HUGE blessing! PLEASE message me if you'd like to donate, and I'll give you account and address information or name and address to mail a check.  We met the original GOAL in less than 24 hours!!!  Go, team!

I believe this is a valid need, and God wants to LOVE this family by providing for this child. Let's show this family how Christians love others. Can you help? The picture is of Rayden at his last surgeon's visit in Lubbock, TX.  I have increased the amount needed as my daughter reminded me that they have to get to Lubbock and stay there for the surgery and recovery.  Hotel?  Food?  Gasoline?  So, if you can help, God will bless you!!!
