Good Afternoon ,

On July 12th, 2020 my mother suffered from 2 severe strokes that led her to being airlifted from Rocksound Eleuthera to Nassau Princess Magarette Hospital (PMH) for more assistance. Arriving to Nassau she was immediately sent to (A&E) Accident & Emergency, after being reviewed from the medical team she was admitted into Female Surgical(I) for about 2 weeks, while being in (FSI) she also developed a rare infection in the chest area which led  the doctors to test her for COVID-19, after her results came back negative she was later transferred to Female Medical (I).Whiles she was in Female Medical (I) she suffered a respiratory distress that led her into the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), After arriving into (ICU) she was later placed on a high dosage of oxygen for a week and later on went into another respiratory destress that led the doctors to placed her on a ventilator. She has been in the hospital for 2 months and 2 weeks and within this time she is still on the ventilator and is still suffering from the infection and the doctors at PMH don’t know the reason and don’t have any idea of how to treat it. Every time we call the hospital we get the same response “she is still very ill” like there is nothing changing. We’ve been battling with PMH way to long and nothing same to be changing. We speak with numerous of doctors and everyone gives us different information about my mother that leads us to a confused face because we don’t know what to believe and what is actually the right information. Hence the reason why we are appealing to the public to donate on behalf of Bernadette Forbes medical funds as she needs to be airlifted into the United States for better health care. We don’t normally ask for money but right now our tail is between our legs and in desperate need of your prayers for my mother, if anyone is able to donate it will be much appreciated because at this point we fed up with PMH.
