Stacey and I are setting up this gofundme for our friends and long time employees, the Gutierrez family.
Many of our customers asked us how they could help and we believe this, to be the best way.
On August 28th, their one story home at 6319 Canyon Rock Way, Cinco Ranch- Katy, TX. took on several feet of water. They were evacuated, as they were no longer safe. They got out with a bag each, and their pets.
We are asking for your generosity in helping them to get back on their feet, and begin the process of rebuilidng the home they bought years ago.
The donations will be administered by me. I will make sure this family receives every penny they need. If we have extra money, I will find another family who has been affected by this storm, and take care of them.
I have no idea if $10,000 is enough for them, but it will be a wonderful start for a family that means the world to my family, and the Pecan Creek Grille family.

My name is Brock Silverstein. My wife Stacey and I own Pecan Creek Grille in Houston TX. We are raising money for Martha and Felipe Gutierrez. Martha and her daughter Ana have worked for us since we opened PCG in February of 2011. Both of them also worked for us when we were partners in The Buffalo Grille. Martha was actually one of the first people I hired in September of 2001 when we opened the Voss Buffalo Grille.
The money will be used for clothing, groceries, construction, and temporary housing for the Gutierrez family, if we have any money left over, we will find another Houston family in need or donate to Red Cross or another organization.
PPS - gofundme is doing an excellent job of ensuring no one takes advantage of this catastrophe! What that means for this campaign is that we haven't been able to withdraw any money as yet. We are getting there!
The folks with gofundme want me to state that I will be withdrawing the money into my business account and then getting the cash out and giving it to my employee, Martha. That's really the only way we can get the money to Martha in a timely manner. Well, not timely, but hopefully very very soon after gofundme decides we are legit!
