Please help me in fundraising $2,000 to go to Brazil this summer with YWAM Pittsburgh. I've been invited to staff the Joshua Generation camp and to spend two weeks there sharing the Gospel of Christ. There will be a massive tourist explosion during the summer in Brazil because of the World Cup and this is a wonderful opportunity to share the message of Christ with so many.
After working with YWAM Pittsburgh a couple of years ago, I have seen the sincere and longing hearts of the staff there for God's kingdom and the Gospel to be preached. It is truly inspiring and I'm excited to work alongside them again and see God work in so many lives this summer. I joined a mission's team with YWAM Pittsburgh before, evangelizing in the Bronx and other parts of New York. We were able to witness God working in the lives of people we interacted with; miraculous healings and people being saved, despairing marriages being reconciled and healed, sincere and deep conversations with Muslims and people of other faiths about Christ and why we serve Him. We had powerful prayer times with people on the streets of New York and lives were touched as we loved people and showed where that love was from. During that same summer another team went to London for the 2012 Olympics and it was a massive success.
I'm really excited to see what God will do through us this summer in Brazil and I'm so blessed to have that opportunity. If you would like to give towards my outreach, any amount will be gratefully received. God can work and has been working such miracles in my life and I have complete faith that He will provide the means for me to do His work and ministry. May God bless you.
Who am I?
I'm Ben Talbot, an Undergraduate student in Messiah College, Pennsylvania, studying Christian Ministry with a heart for evangelism. I've been blessed to grow up on the mission field in Thailand, as my parents were involved in church planting and mentoring leaders. From a young age I've felt the burden to share the message of Christ and take His truth to all corners of the globe. Through my teen years as I've drawn closer to God, that burden on my heart has moved into a firm understanding that God is calling me to full-time ministry. On top of my Cross-Cultural Christian Ministry degree I'm also minoring in Biblical Studies and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), hoping to use the English Teaching certification as a way to enter in to restricted-access countries while I share the Gospel.
I'm not certain yet where God is calling me but I'm excited to see Him work in me where I am now and to see where He leads me as I move forward in my future with Him. In the past few years I've naturally looked for opportunities to go on mission trips to not only prepare for my future and understand better the ministry I see myself in but also to change the here and now, to impact the world with the reality of Christ.
