Penny’s fight against breast cancer

Hello my name is Penny. I don’t know where to begin. I have never had to do anything like this before and I have never asked for help. I’m 44 years old and I have been a nurse for 25 years always helping others and their families. Now I am the one in need of help. I was diagnosed with stage 1 Breast cancer on 6/19/19. I had a lumpectomy and  sentinel lymph node biopsy on 7/24/19. The surgeon also placed my chemo port while performing surgery. My treatment plan at the present time is 12 weeks of chemo/herceptin then 40 weeks of herceptin and 25 treatments of radiation. Depending on the pathology results from the biopsy I may have to undergo more surgery and my treatment plan may change. My husband is working as much as he can to carry the financial monthly load. I will be in treatment for at least a year. I am very worried about our monthly expenses.  We do not qualify for any assistance from the state. With everything I’m going through I now have to worry about the financial burden of medical expenses. Please share this with friends and within your networks and help me get this out to everyone.
