Helping Amateur Snooker Players

Many amateur snooker players are struggling , because of associated costs, to follow tours around the globe, increasingly to far flung places. This means that many amateur players struggle to travel to / afford expenses at various tournaments which itself means those affected players are unable to fairly compete for ranking points etc, which is one of the main pathways to higher levels within the sport. Whereas some fortunate players that because of fame and / or large sponsorships can follow these tours everywhere. many players can not, and indeed in our last round of sponsorship we had applications from over 100 players, only being able to award 20 small sponsorships.

Snookerz exists to raise funds and redistrubute them to players in order to help level, as we see it, an extremely unfair playing field. We also passionately believe that all amateur players should , if they wish, have their talents showcased as much as possible so we also put profiles of those we sponsor on our website (soon to include short video intervews) as well as running tournaments to showcase the amazing amateur talent there is out there.

Even before starting this campaign we've raised enough money to help over 30 players. Anything you can give will go to those players that need it. We will redistrubute every penny we receive to the players. Snookerz is a 'not for profit; project.
